About us

Our history

aromaLAB GmbH was founded in 2006 as an independent company from the Department of Food Chemistry at the Technical University of Munich. Some areas of our analytical services are accredited according to DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025:2018, and the synthesis department is certified according to DIN EN ISO:9001. We have been a member of the Tentamus family since 2016.

The company has grown in line with the demands of our large international customer base and has simultaneously built a team of experts in aroma analysis. From the very beginning, our employees have continuously developed their skills through internal and external training courses. The expertise of our team enables us to respond to our customers' needs in a personalized manner.

Organic synthesis

Our synthesis department offers the synthesis of special unlabelled compounds that are not otherwise commercially available, as well as stable isotope-labelled standards (2H or 13C-labelled). In some cases, the degree of labelling (e.g., 2H3/2H6), the type of labelling (2H or 13C), or the position of the label on the molecule can be customized according to customer requirements.

All syntheses are verified by GC-FID, GC-MS, and NMR and are delivered with a certificate of analysis and a safety data sheet.
