aromaLAB is your competent partner for all aroma-related challenges, from initial consultation to tailor-made solutions. Using established aroma analytical methods and, in particular, the combination of instrumental and sensory techniques, we are able to solve even the most complex questions related to the aroma of food products, tobacco products, animal feed, and consumer goods.
In addition to our analytical services, aromaLAB operates its own synthesis department and offers a wide range of labelled (^2H and ^13C) and unlabelled reference compounds.
Who can order from aromaLAB?
Our products and services are intended for companies, research institutes, universities, and laboratories.
Which countries do you ship to?
We supply customers worldwide. Available shipping options and delivery times depend on the destination country and applicable import regulations.
Why are isotope-labelled standards indispensable for quantification?
Accurate quantitative analyses require reliable reference standards. Isotope-labelled standards are considered the gold standard for quantification by GC-MS and LC-MS.
Since isotope-labelled compounds possess nearly identical physical and chemical properties to the target analyte, they behave almost identically during sample preparation, chromatographic separation, and detection. As a result, losses during sample preparation, matrix effects, and instrument fluctuations can be effectively compensated.
The use of isotope-labelled internal standards provides:
- Highest accuracy and precision in quantification
- Improved reproducibility between analyses and laboratories
- Reliable correction of matrix effects
- Compensation for sample losses during sample preparation
- Increased confidence during method validation
- Robust and traceable analytical results
Particularly in trace analysis, complex matrices, and regulatory applications, isotope-labelled standards are often the preferred solution for obtaining reliable and reproducible quantitative results.
With our isotope-labelled reference standards, we support laboratories, research institutions, and industrial partners in meeting the highest analytical requirements.
Products
What purity do your products have?
Product specifications and purity information can be found on the respective product page. All products are supplied with analytical data and a Certificate of Analysis.
Do I receive a Certificate of Analysis (CoA)?
Yes. A Certificate of Analysis (CoA) is provided for our reference standards.
Are Safety Data Sheets (SDS) available?
Yes. Safety Data Sheets (SDS) are available for our standards and are sent to you once the products have been dispatched.
Are your products suitable for GC-MS or LC-MS applications?
The suitability of a product for GC-MS, LC-MS, or other analytical techniques depends on the physicochemical properties of the respective compound. Many of our aroma compounds and reference standards are typically analyzed by GC-MS, while other compounds may be more suitable for LC-MS applications.
Please contact us if you require assistance selecting the most appropriate standard for your analytical method.
Do you provide mass spectra or analytical data?
For our standards, analytical data such as GC-MS spectra, GC-FID chromatograms, and NMR spectra are provided within the Certificate of Analysis.
Availability of analytical data may vary depending on the product.
Are your products verified using EI and CI?
Yes. Our products are evaluated using Electron Ionization (EI) and Chemical Ionization (CI), whenever analytically applicable for the respective compound.
Please note that not every compound can be measured successfully under all ionization conditions. Depending on the molecular structure, volatility, stability, and physicochemical properties, a compound may provide optimal analytical performance only under specific measurement conditions.
For example, some compounds may show excellent results in GC-MS using EI, while CI or other ionization techniques may not provide sufficient signal intensity or characteristic fragmentation patterns. Our analytical approach takes the specific properties of each compound into account to ensure reliable characterization.
Upon request, we are happy to provide additional analytical information for individual products.
